Professional Plating is committed to conduct our operations in a manner that is environmentally responsible, thus attaining environmental stewardship with our employees, customers and community. We manage the health, safety and environmental matters as a key part of our business success and growth.
Professional Plating complies with all environmental laws and regulations, by providing strict controls and continuous improvements to our processes. We strive to manage all phases of our business in a manner to minimize our operation on the environment by:
- Use energy, water and material efficiently throughout our operations
- Minimize the amount of waste generated
- Reuse and recycle water whenever possible
- Reduce human exposure to toxic chemicals in the facility and to our community
- Invest in state-of-the-art wastewater treatment equipment and controls
Professional Plating is also a proud member of the National Metal Finishing Resource Center Strategic Goals Program by tracking and benchmarking our environmental progress and energy related costs within our industry to further reduce environmental impacts.
Professional Plating is currently seeking a delisting petition through the EPA to secure our facility as a non-hazardous waste generator. Our aggressive plans will ensure a delisting decision by January 2009. We will also be pursuing participation in the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources Green Tier Program to further develop our superior environmental performance.
We are continuing to meet customer needs by maintaining our environmental policy and reducing wastes. Our commitment has results in developing new business opportunities with companies seeking a “Green” partnership.
