Once again our team members pulled together to make the annual Holiday Food Drive a success. Our Team has supported the local food pantry with food donations for many years. Professional Plating will again make a monetary donation to the food pantry to be used toward the purchase of meat products. We look forward to filling the pantry’s shelves.

PPI Supports Breast Cancer Awareness
In cooperation with the Brillion Chamber of Commerce, Professional Plating recently supported Breast Cancer Awareness Month by encouraging Team Members to WEAR PINK on Thursday, October 20th.
Alphabetical teams, named by fruit (just to be fun) were created as part of an in-house competition. The response was overwhelming! We had 109 of our 159 Team Members wearing at least one article of pink clothing!

Team Members Donate School Supplies

Professional Plating Inc. held its annual “Team Member Appreciation Picnic” on August 18, 2011. As part of this year’s celebration, the company invited team members to bring and donate school supplies needed by the Brillion Middle School. The team collected over nine hundred assorted school supplies. Items collected included notebooks, pencils, glue sticks, folders and various other supplies.

Relay of Life

On June 17th Brillion held their annual Relay of Life with 15 teams participating. This 12 hour walk was held at the Brillion High School track to raise money for the American Cancer Society. This year $43,288 was raised to help find a cure for cancer and help the people fighting cancer get through it with support and education.

Professional Plating welcomed Brillion High School Chemistry II students along with their teacher Ryan Peterson for a tour of our facility. The students are completing a section on electrochemistry and gave them first hand experience on how electrochemistry is used in an industrial setting. We focused on trouble shooting aids such as the hull cell to help promote a better understanding in their lab setting. This is the third year the Chemistry students have visited us.... (more)

The Winner of PPI's Souper Bowl Tailgating Chili Cook Off is Toni Post!!!
On Friday, February 4th, PPI held a Souper Bowl Tailgating Chili Cook Off for its team members in anticipation of the Green Bay Packers winning the Super Bowl.
Team members were asked to bring in their best chili in a crock pot to be judged by coworkers. The company also provided additional chili catered by Cobblestone for everyone to enjoy.

• Reduced our generation of Waste Water filter sludge by 34,000 lbs in 2009

In celebration of Halloween, Professional Plating held a Pumpkin Decorating contest for its team members.
Team members were invited to decorate their pumpkin in any way; carved, adorned, or painted. Creativity and imagination were encouraged.
All of the pumpkin entries were amazing and it was hard for our judges to pick a winner.

Taking Steps Towards Better Fitness

PPI held a walking challenge for its team members that started in July and ended in August to promote healthier lifestyles. The challenge was called “Taking steps towards better fitness.” The goal of the challenge was to walk 10,000 steps or more per day or at least 300,000 in a month.

Governor Doyle of the State of Wisconsin spent Thursday morning with team members of Professional Plating and Endries International. The City of Brillion will receive a Development Block Grant for infrastructure improvements to support the growth of the two companies.

PPI’s new expansion project is moving along fast and furious. The steel is all up and they are starting to enclose the building. We are looking at the building being fully enclosed by October and we will start moving in by November. Governor Doyle was at Fox Valley Technical College in Appleton on Thursday, July 24, 2008 to present a check for $97,000. The college is using the money to continue training workers at businesses in Brillion, WI.

March 7th, 8th and 9th are the dates for the World of Wheels show at the Brown County Veterans Arena complex in Green Bay, WI. This is a national show for the car enthusiast just like you. Annual Food Drive

Professional Plating Inc. held its annual holiday team member food drive to help stock the shelves of the local food pantry. The team collected 1,232 items this year and donated them to St. Vincent De Paul’s Food Pantry. This total exceeds the previous year’s collection.

Professional Plating Inc. held its annual holiday greeting card drawing contest in November.
The winners of each category were chosen by the Brillion High School Art Students. Winners Ella Diny and Autumn Diny are the grandchildren of team member Connie McCormick. Emily Menza is the granddaughter of team member Linda Menza. The winners’ drawings were transformed into greeting cards by Zander Press, Inc.

PPI Doubles its Annual Food Drive Donations

Professional Plating, Inc. is proud to announce that its team members donated 1,228 non perishable food and personal hygiene items for this year’s annual company food drive. The collected items were donated to the local food pantry, St. Vincent De Paul’s Food Pantry. This amount is more than double the amount that was collected last year, 613 items.
Ken and Beatrice Geiger and Joe and Rose Gilsdorf collected the items and transported them to the Brillion Pantry.

Professional Plating Inc. Purchases Defibrillator for Team Member's Safety

As part of an ongoing commitment to focus on safety and wellness for its team members, Professional Plating has purchased a Medtronic LIFEPAK CR Plus AED unit for its 705 Northway Drive, Brillion location. The defibrillator unit has been installed in the plant and is ready for operation if any sudden cardiac arrest situation may occur.

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) published a final standard for occupational exposure to hexavalent chromium in the Feb 2006 Federal Register. The standard covers occupational exposure to hexavalent chromium (Cr(VI)) in general industry, construction and shipyards.
