Professional Plating Inc. is pleased to announce our acceptance into the Green Tier Environmental Stewardship Program by the State of Wisconsin. Green Tier accepts businesses that go beyond current rules and regulations to reduce their impact in the environment.
During a ceremony in the new 65,000 sq. ft. addition, Wisconsin DNR Secretary Matthew Frank presented Larry Dietz, GM and Rob Ansems Zinc Business Team and Environmental Manager a plaque proclaiming PPI as a Green Tier Member.

For the third year in a row, Professional Plating Inc. participated in the Coats for Kids campaign hosted by Cumulus Broadcasting and The Salvation Army. Governor Doyle visits PPI

Governor Doyle of the State of Wisconsin spent Thursday morning with team members of Professional Plating and Endries International. The City of Brillion will receive a Development Block Grant for infrastructure improvements to support the growth of the two companies.
Professional Plating’s addition of 65,000 sq. ft. is nearing completion; while Endries International is enjoy the 101,000 sq. ft. addition at this time.

PPI Expansion Project
PPI’s new expansion project is moving along fast and furious. The steel is all up and they are starting to enclose the building. We are looking at the building being fully enclosed by October and we will start moving in by November. We are looking forward to this new expansion improving our product flow and increasing our finishing capabilities for our customers. Governor Doyle Presents Training Grant

Governor Doyle was at Fox Valley Technical College in Appleton on Thursday, July 24, 2008 to present a check for $97,000. The college is using the money to continue training workers at businesses in Brillion, WI.
“I want to be very clear about something, and this is a vision shared across the state, manufacturing has been what has gotten us this far, and it is going to be manufacturing that is going to lead us into the future as well,” Governor Doyle said.

As we strive to be a strong partner in our community, PPI was pleased to participate in Brillion’s Electric Parade held Friday night June 13th, 2008, under the cover of darkness. The bright, happy and shinning faces of kids of all ages lined the main street of Brillion.

March 7th, 8th and 9th are the dates for the World of Wheels show at the Brown County Veterans Arena complex in Green Bay, WI. This is a national show for the car enthusiast just like you. We will have samples of ceramic coated parts as well as powder coated parts. Ceramic coated parts can help improve the performance of your engine. Powder coating can help improve the look of your car.

Annual Food Drive

Professional Plating Inc. held its annual holiday team member food drive to help stock the shelves of the local food pantry. The team collected 1,232 items this year and donated them to St. Vincent De Paul’s Food Pantry. This total exceeds the previous year’s collection.

Professional Plating Inc. held its annual holiday greeting card drawing contest in November.
The winners of each category were chosen by the Brillion High School Art Students. Winners Ella Diny and Autumn Diny are the grandchildren of team member Connie McCormick. Emily Menza is the granddaughter of team member Linda Menza. The winners’ drawings were transformed into greeting cards by Zander Press, Inc.

Several of Professional Plating Inc.’s, team members took a challenge to spend the summer of 2007 committed to a healthier lifestyle. They participated in a 50-hour exercise challenge.

PPI Doubles its Annual Food Drive Donations

Professional Plating, Inc. is proud to announce that its team members donated 1,228 non perishable food and personal hygiene items for this year’s annual company food drive. The collected items were donated to the local food pantry, St. Vincent De Paul’s Food Pantry. This amount is more than double the amount that was collected last year, 613 items.
Ken and Beatrice Geiger and Joe and Rose Gilsdorf collected the items and transported them to the Brillion Pantry.

Professional Plating Inc. Purchases Defibrillator for Team Member's Safety

As part of an ongoing commitment to focus on safety and wellness for its team members, Professional Plating has purchased a Medtronic LIFEPAK CR Plus AED unit for its 705 Northway Drive, Brillion location. The defibrillator unit has been installed in the plant and is ready for operation if any sudden cardiac arrest situation may occur.

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) published a final standard for occupational exposure to hexavalent chromium in the Feb 2006 Federal Register. The standard covers occupational exposure to hexavalent chromium (Cr(VI)) in general industry, construction and shipyards.
