Brillion's Electric ParadeCohen
Jun 15, 2015
On the night of Friday, June 12th, the lights on Main Street in the small community of Brillion went out. No weather-related problems or non-payment of a bill to the local utility company were to blame. It was purposely done in order to give highlight to the annual Electric (night time)Parade!
The Brillion Optimist’s who organize this annual event, estimate over 3,500 people lined the street for last year’s parade. No small town parade would be complete without tractors and scout troops, but due to donations from local businesses (including Professional Plating), the Brillion Electric parade also hosts large drum and bugle corps/color guards such as The Lutheran Vanguard from Appleton and The Pioneers from Milwaukee. What really make the event special is that all of the entries (93 of them this year), use lights to illuminate their floats, instruments, vehicles, etc.
Professional Plating has an expectation to impress the crowd with our entry each year. This year was no exception! With a theme of “The Sky’s the Limit (for Quality, Growth, $uccess, Team Work and Customer Satisfaction)”, the float’s highlight was an 11’ tall hot air balloon!
The efforts of our parade committee were rewarded with a 1st Place prize!
