2017 Electric ParadeCohen
Jun 18, 2017
We all know that planning an outdoor event leaves a chance for disappointment if Mother Nature isn't interested in playing along. However, the Brillion Optimist Club and hundreds if not thousands of people had absolutely no complaints about the weather for the Brillion Electric Parade held on Friday, June 9th!
Main Street in Brillion was packed with onlookers for the annual night-time parade that kicks off at around 9:00 p.m. This parade is special not only for the many lights that adorn each of the entries, but also because of the quality of the entries! Marching bands and Drum and Bugle Corps perform and also incorporate the spirit of the "electric parade" by wearing glow lights on their uniforms and/or instruments.
Professional Plating has a great group of team members who look forward to creating an entry into the parade each year. This year we highlighted our association with the enthusiasm in our school system's new S.T.E.M (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) Center, with High School students doing much of the design and building of the float pieces. The parade judges acknowledged the hard work and awarded the Professional Plating float a 2nd place prize!
