PPI Awarded Products Finishing’s Elite 2026 Top Shops

Professional Plating Inc. has been recognized as one of North America’s top surface finishing facilities, earning a spot as a 2026 Products Finishing Top Shop. It marks the Brillion, Wisconsin, company’s twelfth consecutive year receiving the award, continuing a streak that goes back to the program’s first year.

What Top Shops Measure

The Products Finishing Top Shops Benchmarking Program invites finishing and coatings shops to assess their operational performance. Participating shops submit detailed data and receive a customized report showing how their operations compare within the industry.

Products Finishing editor-in-chief Scott Francis frames it as a practical business tool, calling it “a data-driven program designed to give industrial finishers valuable insights into improving their business.” Each year, the survey and its reports are refined “with the goal of helping participants take their business to the next level,” he says.

Qualifying shops also earn recognition across Products Finishing’s media platforms and at industry events, a level of visibility that sets Top Shops apart in the industry.

A Record Built on Consistency

For Professional Plating, twelve straight years on the list speaks to steady performance year after year. In congratulating the company, Francis tied the award directly to that consistency.

“Sincere congratulations to Professional Plating Inc. for earning recognition as a 2026 Top Shop,” he says, calling the award a reflection of “outstanding performance across select business and operational metrics” and “a testament to the dedication and excellence of your entire team.”

Everything Under One Roof

Professional Plating runs nearly every finishing process in a single facility. Barrel and rack zinc plating, acrylic and epoxy e-coating, and powder coating all happen under one roof, so whatever a part needs, it never has to leave the building. As a total solution provider, the company keeps shipping costs down, spares customers the work of coordinating multiple suppliers, and shortens turnaround without sacrificing quality.

The one-stop setup extends well before and after finishing. From blasting to assembly, packaging, and shipping, customers can keep the whole job in one place. ISO-certified quality systems and OEM approvals back every process, and on-site testing verifies that parts meet specifications before they ship.

Powered by People and Partnerships

Professional Plating credits its people and its long-standing customer relationships for keeping it at the top of the industry year after year.
