The Different Types of Coating

The process of coating products has revolutionized many different fields. Coating products has been a way to increase visual appeal, make things conduct electricity, and otherwise cover harmful metals in a non-harmful coating. There are a few different ways to coat your items and each has its own advantage for you and your product. Here are some of the different types of coating that can be used for your products.

Powder coating – Powder coating is the process of coating products in a powder, as the name suggests. It is super-efficient and objects that are powder coated have their coats last longer than a normal paint job. This process is perfect for doing a large number of objects in a timely matter

Electric coating – E-coating is the process of sending an electric current through an electrolyte where a metal object was placed. This process causes the electrolyte to split which distributes the metal’s atoms onto the desired object. This process is great to make a metal that currently does not conduct electricity to conduct electricity! This process affects the properties of the materials the most and is most helpful in healthcare and technology designs!

Partial coating – With any item you can choose to partially coat it. This can be useful to just coat a handle of an item to make the metal less harmful to your skin or to make just a part of your car have a nice new coat on it.
